White Background to Transparent PNG
Removes a white (or chosen) background and saves a transparent PNG. Best for logos and signatures.
This isn't AI background removal; it erases colours close to the one you pick. It works best on logos, signatures and product shots on white.
Preview
Add a signature on white paper, or a logo or product shot on white, and the white background is removed to give you a transparent PNG. For another solid background, pick that colour from the image. Process several at once and download a ZIP. Images are processed on this device only.
How to use
- Choose or drop your images.
- Set the colour to remove (white by default), tolerance and edge softness while watching the preview.
- Press Download PNG or Download all as ZIP.
Examples
Tolerance 12 · edge softness 8
With tolerance 12 (= 31) and edge softness 8 (= 20), pixels within 31 of white become fully transparent, 51 or more stay solid, and those in between (e.g. 41) become half-transparent (alpha 128).
FAQ
Is this AI background removal?
No. It only erases colours close to the one you pick (white by default), so people or busy backgrounds won't come out cleanly. It suits logos, signatures and product shots on white.
Are my images uploaded?
No. They are processed inside your browser and never sent or stored anywhere.
White areas inside my logo are left.
By default only background connected to the image edges is removed. To clear enclosed white areas too, choose 'Everywhere in the image'.
I see a white fringe around the edges.
Raise the tolerance or edge softness a little. Too high can erase light parts of the subject, so adjust while watching the preview.
Can it remove a non-white background?
Yes, if it's a solid colour: use 'Pick from image' to choose it. Gradients or patterned backgrounds don't remove well.
Why only PNG?
Keeping transparency needs PNG. JPG can't store transparency.
