FAQ
Which clock does it use?
It counts to 0:00 on 1 January using this device's clock and time zone. If the device clock is off, the countdown is off by the same amount.
Is it exactly in sync with official broadcasts?
Broadcasts can arrive a few seconds late, so it may not match exactly. Setting your device to automatic time gives the best accuracy.
Will the screen stay on in fullscreen?
In supporting browsers, the screen is kept awake while fullscreen. If not, increase your device's screen timeout.
There's no sound.
Sound is off by default. Press 'Sound on' to hear beeps during the last 10 seconds and at 0:00. Check your device volume too.
I have reduced motion turned on.
With reduced motion turned on, a still celebration message is shown instead of confetti.
What happens after New Year?
The celebration shows for one minute from 0:00, then it switches automatically to counting down to the following 1 January.
